Durables

Good things start with a little help.

Meet your durable: an AI agent with its own computer, a place for your work, and a name you choose.

Create your first durable

Give it something to get into

Start with a question, a messy folder, or an idea you want to build. Chat with your agent and work through it together.

A computer of its own

Your agent can work with files and run code. Add a desktop so it can use a browser, and you can watch or take over when you want to lend a hand.

Come back to your work

Close the tab when you’re done. Its files and conversation stay with it, so you can return to the same workspace. When its computer sleeps, opening it wakes it up.

An address of its own

Every durable gets its own URL. Open it to chat, pick up a conversation, or give it something new to work on. It’s one place to come back to, without setting up a server yourself.

Your agent, on your terms

Choose its model and bring your own API key. Give it instructions that fit your work, change them as you go, and decide who can reach it through Slack. You can switch models as your needs change.

Bring your agent to Slack

Mention it in a channel or send it a direct message. Choose which people and channels can use it, and keep the conversation where your team already works.

A few things you might be wondering.

What do I need to get started?

A SuperHQ account and an API key from Anthropic, OpenAI, or OpenRouter. Choose a name and a model, then tell your agent what you’d like it to do. SuperHQ sets up its computer for you.

What does it mean to have my own agent?

You choose its name, model, instructions, and connections. Each durable has a separate Linux machine, files, conversation, and chat URL. It’s hosted on SuperHQ; bringing your own API key lets you choose the model provider.

Does my laptop have to stay on?

No. Your durable runs on a cloud computer. It can work while your laptop is off, park when idle, and wake for a new message or a scheduled task.

What happens to my files when it sleeps?

Its disk and conversation are retained when its computer parks. Opening it again wakes the computer so you can return to the same workspace.

How is it billed?

SuperHQ charges for the computer resources and disk your durable uses. When its computer sleeps, compute stops being billed and disk storage still costs. Model usage is billed separately by the provider through your own API key.

Can I change models later?

Yes. Change the model and its API key in your durable’s settings. Its files and conversation stay with the durable. A running agent may need to restart before the change applies.

Can my team talk to it in Slack?

Yes. Connect a Slack app from the Integrations tab, then choose the people and channels that can use it. They can mention it in an allowed channel or send it a direct message.

Does every durable need a desktop?

No. It can work with files and run code without a desktop. Add one when you want it to use a browser or you want to watch and take over the screen.

Put your agent to work.

Choose a name and model, then give your agent a task.
